NATHAM:

Charlie Daly

Cast & Crew:

Calderwood Pavillion, Boston; May 9-13, 2007

In the 1980’s club-goers were rockin’ to the sounds of Charlie Daly as he took the stage as lead vocalist and guitarist for the 80’s rock group Odious but these days when Daly takes center stage audiences have tears in their eyes from side-splitting laughter.   In 1987, after fourteen years in the music business, Daly made the switch from music to comedy. He continues to strum his acoustic guitar with aplomb to familiar tunes but the lyrics are far from the original versions. Today, Daly integrates his musical prowess and carefully honed comedic style by presenting a relevant look at life, marriage, parenthood and politics. Daly has appeared in the motion picture Monument Ave with co-star Dennis Leary and has made numerous appearances on several NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX and WB television programs in various capacities. Whether it is America’s Funniest People or Comedy Spotlight Daly’s brand of comedy is truly identifiable to the average person. Currently CBS is considering a fall pilot starring the multi-faceted jokester. Today Charlie continues to perform both locally and nationally in most of the major comedy clubs. Daly recently opened for national recording artists Herb Reed and the Original Platters, Jennifer Holiday, Fines Henderson  and was recently mentored by the one and only Bill Cosby
